The SPICE Model
Our innovative SPICE model is the foundation for our wellness efforts and resident programming. Applying five holistic elements of wellness – Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, Cultural, and Emotional – the SPICE approach uses a unique and tailored blend of programs to create meaningful, healthy, stimulating, and positive lifestyles for our residents. Residents can expect to enjoy a daily calendar full of enriching and inspiring SPICE programs!
Our SPICE program is only one of the reasons that we are one of the most trusted names in senior living! Our community Vibrant Living Directors help residents connect with specially chosen classes and events daily. Residents can discover the joy of oil painting, crafts, or gardening. Meet new people by joining a card club, concerts, or get-togethers. Participate in cooking classes and demonstrations. Find new energy (and make new friends) by attending fitness classes. Or find a new purpose by taking advantage of one of our many volunteer opportunities.
Our community's SPICE in Motion program builds off the SPICE model, focusing on improving mobility and outlook. SPICE in Motion begins by identifying your exercise interests, health risks, functional needs, and life satisfaction by conducting fitness and activity surveys. Our one-hour classes are led by certified fitness specialists, including a warm-up, cardiovascular exercise, strength and power exercise, static and dynamic balance activity, and cool down. We incorporate weights, bands, exercise balls, and brain games into the classes.
