Fremantle Prison
Fremantle, Western Australia
A jail is not a traditional venue for viewing art, which is what makes the Fremantle Prison art tour so unique. Established in the 1850s, this prison is part of the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage Property, alongside 10 other significant locations, and its history can be traced through the artworks painted on cell walls, doors and exercise yards by prisoners over the course of its 136 years of operation.
The works, some of which have been discovered through archeological excavation projects, showcase a diverse range of styles and subjects that range from convict-drawn frescoes and religious works to landscapes painted by Aboriginal prisoners in the famed Carrolup style and dot paintings, graffiti and tattoo art.

It offers a modern cellar door where guests can embark on a journey of discovery with more than 100 Barossa wines for tasting in one place. The Grenache Project offers a masterclass in small-batch winemaking with a guided tasting of six wines made by different vintners. Daily: 11am; $75 per person (minimum 2).
Stanton & Killeen
Victoria
Mother-daughter team Wendy and Natasha Killeen manage Stanton & Killeen continuing a family tradition that has endured for seven generations. Guests visiting the cellar door in Rutherglen can experience a private tour and guided tasting in the exclusive-access Solera Room, which houses the historic aging barrels that make Rutherglen Muscat famous. Daily: $75 per person. Lovers of fortified wine can taste the difference in the classification of Muscats during the Muscat Blending Experience, then blend their very own bottle to take home.

Currently, guests can choose the Savour with Swinging Bridge experience, which includes a seated tasting of seven cool-climate wines elegantly paired with a selection of chef-designed canapés.
