Welcome to the latest edition of Tourism Australia’s Signature Experiences of Australia’s (SEA) digital magazine that aims to provide you with inspiration and information on the broad range of higher-end options designed to service your clients’ passion points.
In this issue, we’re featuring the Discover Aboriginal Experiences collective, which offers more than 200 authentic cultural experiences led by Australia’s First Peoples. The demand from tourists for rich cultural experiences is on an upward trajectory as travellers increasingly seek a connection to the places they are visiting and want to hear stories from the Traditional Owners.
Aboriginal cultures and heritage are also included in our Inspiring Itinerary through regional Victoria. The nine-day trip includes tours from six of the Signature Experiences collectives, with exclusive wine experiences, exciting tales of bushrangers, a taste of life as it was during the gold rush, as well as close encounters with Australia’s unique wildlife, and even a taste of handmade chocolates.
We put a spotlight on the Luxury Lodges of Australia collective. This collective is catering to increasing demand for private accommodation options in show-stopping locations with personalised service and all the amenities and trappings of a luxury lodge.
Passionate golfers are always eager to hit the tees at Australia's top-notch greens and we visit two of South Australia’s premium courses to learn about the trailblazing women who became the first female greenkeepers at their respective clubs. Join us behind the scenes as we celebrate their inspiring journey to break the 'grass ceiling'.
You’ll be keen to suggest lovers of walking, wine, and wildlife pull on their boots and tackle the luxury Cape to Cape Walk along the Western Australian coast. The four-day coastal walk, paired with luxury accommodation and some of the best food and wine available in the world-renowned Margaret River region, cherry picks the most stunning sections of the longer Cape to Cape Trek’s cliff and beach tracks.
Finally, we take a look at some of Australia's latest and most exceptional Signature Experiences. Tasmanian expedition cruise company On Board is the newest edition to the Luxury Lodges of Australia collective and offers an incredible journey into the remote wilderness of Tasmania/lutruwita’s southwest. New to the Australian Wildlfe Journeys collective is Frankland Islands Reef Cruises, which provides a full-day Great Barrier Reef adventure accompanied by a passionate Master Reef Guide or Marine Biologist.
Art lovers can head to the most unlikely of venues for a showing — Fremantle Prison. The prison houses incredible works of art created on walls and doors by its inmates throughout its 136 years of operation.
In this edition we also welcome three new members of the Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia collective, which provides wine lovers with exclusive opportunities to indulge in experiences that go well beyond the cellar door.
