Our Director of Animals and Plants, Mike Jordan, joins us for the fifth episode of our Zoo Tales podcast.
Mike trained as a zoologist at the University of London and around 1990 became involved in zoos through work with the IUCN, BIAZA and EAZA. He has worked extensively in reintroduction and conservation management & planning, specialising in small mammals and invertebrates.
From 2009 – 2015 he worked as senior conservation advisor to the South African government in zoos and game reserves, before returning to Chester Zoo in 2015 as the Director of Collections.

Jane has a MSc Animal Behaviour degree and a BSc Psychology degree, so working in zoo education suits all of Jane's interests - chatting to people about animals!
